NEW DIRECTIONS FOR DON JUAN (TATA KACHORA)

In my book I provide conclusive evidence that Tata Kachora is Castaneda’s model for Don Juan, after the book came out I continued my research and I found the missing piece in Richard deMille’s Castaneda’s Journey. The last three pages detail stories I believed to be true. They contain the missing link I was looking for,   because on page 162 deMille tells the story of when Castaneda took Don Juan to The University of Arizona’s Earth Week Celebration. As a fellow environmentalist I am almost certain that Tata Kachora saw his future that day and began to pivot towards caring for the Planet.  During an ecology lecture the old man turns to Castaneda and says the speaker must not love his body because he was puffing on cigarettes, while speaking about health. On my first visit to Tata Kachora he told Marco and me that if we love our bodies we shouldn’t put smoke into our lungs. The Ecology lecture is my missing link that connects the legacy of Tata Kachora to present day shaman as well as the movement. We have evolved!
